Natural, Thoughtful Horse Care at TAMO Equestrian
Where horses live freely, naturally and in harmony with their needs.
At TAMO EQUESTRIAN, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of horse care in South Africa’s first Roaming Trail Livery. Our commitment is to species-appropriate horse management, ensuring that our horses live in an environment that mirrors their natural habitats. This unique approach not only supports their physical well-being but also fosters their mental and emotional health.
Nutrition is the foundation of everything we do. Our philosophy centers on a needs-based and natural feeding regimen that enhances overall horse health. We view horses as partners, not simply sports equipment, and this perspective guides every aspect of our care and training. Every decision is fundamentally Pro-Horse, prioritizing their welfare, comfort and happiness.

We are also a competitive yard, where horses and riders prepare for jumping, eventing and dressage. By combining natural, horse-centered care with professional training methods, we ensure horses remain healthy, willing and focused throughout their performance career.
Healthy training methods and gentle riding techniques are at the core of our approach. Each horse benefits from individualized attention, plenty space and an environment that respects its instincts and natural behavior.
Join us at TAMO EQUESTRIAN to experience a truly horse-centered approach to equestrian care and training, where every detail is designed with the horse’s best interests at heart.
Meet the Trainer & Coach
Guiding horses and riders with experience, care and a horse-centered approach.

Confidence and time are the two most important components of training reliable riding horses. Far too many horses experience fast, profit-oriented training aimed solely at quick success. This may work temporarily, but often results in tension, bad habits, or frustration.
At TAMO EQUESTRIAN, we focus on building trust from the ground up. Every horse gets to know me, and I get to know them. With a strong foundation of trust, horses work relaxed, with correctly engaged muscles, and develop confidence under saddle – whether for leisure or competition.
Training is not about instant fixes. It takes weeks to months, depending on the horse, to restore correct posture, movement, and partnership. I also include the owner in this process, considering management, nutrition, training condition, and harmony between horse and rider. My goal is that you can ultimately get along with your horse independently – that is the measure of success.
With years of experience starting from riding at age 8, through young horse training, competitive jumping up to 1.40m, dressage, and eventing, as well as working with numerous “difficult” horses and teaching riders, I have developed a deep understanding of horse behavior, health, and performance.
I also have extensive experience managing a livery yard and feeding horses naturally through my Herbitality feed business, combined with practical knowledge of physiotherapy, craniosacral work, massage, and bodywork. Since emigrating to South Africa in 2022, I continue to apply this approach, creating happy, healthy, and confident horses.
